Mardi Gras Poster – Behind the Scenes

Collage approach to a Mardi Gras poster, celebrating the ephemera of Mardi Gras traditions in and around New Orleans. Lighting, Color Grading and Photo Compositing techniques were utilized to create an overall environment. Much of the work involved in this piece reflects the randomness of nature and how it resonates with the spirit world.

We find ourselves wrapped up in a cloak of air, water, fire and earth.

The folly of the season and nature are combined with the colors of the Mardi Gras “Laissez les bon temps roulez!”
